    Description

    This
    concept art established
    a view of Guantanamo Bay
    for a matte shot in the film as
    Navy lawyers played by Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, and Kevin
    Pollak
    arrived to interview Marine Col. Nathan
    Jessep
    (played by Jack Nicholson) regarding
    the “Code Red
    .”
    It was created on a 16.5" x 9.75" illustration board (the painted area is 5" x 12") and is signed by the artist.
    On the back of the illustration board is the inscription, “For Michael Riva”, the film’s production designer.
    VFX company Illusion Arts inherited this sketch to reference in the creation of their matte shot.
