Here is this very beautiful early 20th century antique Chinese export sterling silver gold vermeil adjustable ring with enameled butterflies on the shoulders and a large 14 mm x 10.5 mm natural adventurine gemstone cabochon , this is a beautiful gemstone without scratches or abrasions in a secure bezel setting . The ring weighs 6.5 g and currently sits at size 6 however it is a adjustable ring with lots of room to be adjusted either direction . The top of the ring measures 18.3 mm north to south and it has a sturdy band and the ring is marked  "  SILVER  "  up on the underside behind the gemstone . Adventurine is a beautiful gemstone used in lots of antique jewelry , it is a strong durable stone that tests and looks very similar to jadeite . This ring has been stored for many years and is without scratches or abrasions showing what the original makers wanted to accomplish which was the look of a solid gold ring .
