Antique 1920's D.F.B. Briggs Co. Carmen Green Stone Expansion Sweetheart Bracelet.  This is an early sweetheart bracelet, not the more modern versions.  This is gorgeous, the center medallion has a green stone.   Without stretching the bracelet, it measures almost 5" inside.  It stretches comfortably to a 6 1/2-3/4" wrist.  The medallion measure 3/4" each.  The stone is faceted and in nice condition for its age, there are a few scuffs if you use your loop or magnifying glass, but overall nothing major.  The metal has some patina in areas, but overall nice.  A great find!  Don't miss out!
D.F. Briggs Company (founded in 1892) and McRae & Keeler Company (founded in 1893) of Attleboro Massachusetts were the first on record to make expandable sweetheart bracelets. These companies made many styles, but a sentimental favorite had a heart in the center that contained a simulated gem or could be engraved with a loved one’s initials.
