    Description

    This is a handmade wooden scale model of Leonardo da Vinci‘s 1483 catapult. There were many submissions for a competition by Zerox requesting handmade models of this weapon, this model won the award. It’s in good vintage condition considering the age, 1969. It includes parts that are often missing; the leather pouch, the rope, two plagues, and the paper description is attached. There are two spars missing on the winding wheel, a small wooden piece ( see last photo) and one of the small lions on the front is somewhat damaged. (see photo 7) The photos are the best description. This is an awesome collectible. A unique piece that celebrates the genius of Da Vinci. It is 17” overall in length, 5 3/4” overall in width, 4” or so in height and weighs a bit over 8 pounds. Please view all photos as they are part of the description. Thank you for looking.
