Description

Presented is an exceptional quality bezel-set jadeite and enamel ring handmade in China in the early 1900's. The glowing cream to dark green hues of the jadeite cabochon are gorgeous, as is the hand-laid cloisonne-enamel design surrounding the stone setting and continuing down the sides of the band. Look at the fine weaving of hand-laid silver wires in the background of the cloisonne flowers and flourishes!
The condition of the ring is good for a ring of this antiquity. There is wear to the enamel in a few places, but what remains creates a fabulous patina, and the jadeite is in excellent condition.
