Unique hard to find bronze commemorative metal/coin for Michael Faraday's discovery of abundant inexpensive energy source. Front features his bust with words "FARADAY" under it, reverse side reads "IN COMMEMORATION OF THE BIMILLENNIUM" encircled around it, with words "CONVERTING MECHANICAL TO ELECTRICAL ENERGY IN THE SINGLE GREATEST ELECTRICAL DISCOVERY, HE BESTOWED UPON MANKIND AN ABUNDANT INEXPENSIVE ENERGY SOURCE" and Roman numerals MM 2000 at bottom. Rim is stamped with MM 2000 1987 and #00184. Encased in protective cover (with minor surface scratches/scuffs) and mounted on small stand. Coin measures 1-1/2" in diameter and height of stand with mounted coin is approx 3-1/2" in tall and approx 2" across at widest width. Minor oxidation on top of coin (see pic's for greater details).
