    Description

    Japanese badges of various fire brigades are some of the most colorful and interesting areas of collecting. There were issued before the war, but since police, fire departments and civil defense were under police authority, merit badges were not as varied as in post war period.
    This is a rare Superior (merit) award from Fire department in Fukagawa City, Hokkaido.

    Condition: minor tarnishing, abrasions, minor loss of gilding.
