    Description

Offered here is a very old member's lapel pin for the Mystic Workers of the World.  The pin is small, roughly 5/8" lapel pin size, made of copper or some similar metal, with the American flag in the center in red, white, and blue enamel and the name of the organization in blue enamel around the outer edge.  Reverse has an old-style screw-on back with a large threaded nut and is hallmarked "J.M. Goodell, Jr., Austin, IL."
According to internet sources, the Mystic Workers of the World was founded in Fulton, Illinois in 1896 as a fraternal benefit society to provide life insurance to its members.  In 1930, Mystic Workers of the World changed its name to Fidelity Life Association.
The pin has some minor age and cracking to the enamel (see the illustrations) but overall is in decent used condition.   An interesting organizational pin for a rather obscure organization. See illustrations.
Winning bidder pays .25 for first class mail shipping. I ship exclusively by U.S. mail. Postage outside of U.S. is extra. Multiple items can usually be shipped together to reduce postage costs. International bidders welcome but note that all payments must be made in US Dollars. Very sorry to report that international rates have skyrocketed due to postal rate increases. This is beyond my control.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE: I welcome international bids and will happily ship anywhere in the world, but international bidders need to be aware of the following conditions and limitations: Normally I provide a quote for regular uninsured airmail because it is the least expensive and often the only realistic method of international shipment for less expensive items. Although my track record with international shipments is excellent, I CANNOT GUARANTEE THE RELIABILITY OF THE WORLD'S POSTAL SERVICES, AND WILL NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOST OR DELAYED UNINSURED INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS, BY BIDDING IN MY AUCTIONS YOU AGREE TO ASSUME THE RISK OF LOSS OR DELAY OF UNINSURED SHIPMENTS. Depending on the item and the international destination, I may be able to ship by a more secure method, in some cases including insurance, but this usually is expensive, and may not be practical for many lower value items. Furthermore, under postal limitations, postal insurance is unavailable for shipments to some countries and for some methods of shipment in all cases. YOUR BID CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONDITIONS. Please contact me if you have questions about available shipping options for an item. Thanks, and I hope that this will not discourage you from bidding as I greatly value my international customers and have an excellent track record with international shipments.
