Dino Athanassiou is an Animation Director in the classic Hollywood tradition of rich character performance, both traditionally drawn and computer-animated.
Was the animation director and character adaptor for the twelfth series of Thomas & Friends. He worked in conjunction with Nitrogen Studios. Dino owns the animation service known as Stardust Pictures, and has worked for many studios such as DreamWorks, Walt Disney Studios and Arc Productions.
As well as direction, design and storyboard work, Dino has also been heavily involved in live action, working for companies such as Double Negative on two of Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer’s live action blockbusters, The Sorcerers Apprentice and The Prince of Persia - The Sands Of Time. In addition Dino was asked to help out on designing the creatures on another Double Negative live action Sci-Fi horror movie "Attack The Block".
