This is a Victorian era gold filled hinged bangle bracelet by Mason Howard & Co. It has an openwork design with scrolling filigree in the center and diamond shaped faceted, bezel set amethyst glass stones and clear faceted set stones going across the center (stones are
approx. 2mm in size)
. Press tab release button at side (top) to open, closes tightly with a snap. There is a safety bar also. Most of the stones have greyed and there is one brighter stone at the center. The bracelet is perfectly in the round.
Marked  - Gold Shell MH&CO - on the inside back of bracelet. MH is for Mason Howard.
Measurements:
Size 7
Ornate oval front piece: 2" side to side by 3/4" top to bottom
Width of bracelet: just over 1/4"
Side to side measurement: just under 2 3/4"
Front to back measurement: just under 2.5"
I do not see any wear to the gold fill, only minor surface rub that is expected for a piece its age. No gashes or deep scratches. Simply beautiful and in amazing condition given its age! Quite a collectible piece.
