Vintage 1963 Western Union Telegram
This is a vintage 1963 western Union Telegram. Before texting, Instagram, Twitter, Zoom and those old-fashioned emails, this was the premier way of sending greetings, congratulations, condolences or any other type of message. This telegram was sent on June 30, 1963 at 10:42 am wishing Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb a happy marriage. The wishes expressed were very heart felt – “
Hearty Congratulations May All Your Days Be As Happy As This One”.
Also included is the original envelope and cellophane sleeve. Paper has yellowed and sleeve has some crinkles in it. There is a crease in telegram because it has to be folded to fit in envelope. Graphics are very visible. Telegram measures approximately 5 ½ inches x 8 ½ inches.
