    Description

    You're bidding on an original Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure 6 silver medal. Please take care in examining the photos for the condition of this medal as it's the exact one you're bidding on. This medal has been purposely altered. The ribbon was removed and the ribbon ring was cut in half and welded to a pin back so that this could be worn as a broach. This is exactly as it came when I purchased it when living in Japan 20 years ago.
    This medal was established in January 1888 and was awarded to both military and civilian for long service with good conduct. The Sacred Treasure 6 could be awarded to military officers. The back of the medal reads "Order of Merit Decoration"
