HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 19-year-old man has been charged after allegedly opening fire in Wahiawa over the weekend, officials said.
According to arrest logs, Ariez Sylve-Matautia is now charged with attempted murder.
Honolulu police said around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, the suspect allegedly fired multiple shots toward a 27-year-old man.
One of the bullets struck the windshield of the victim’s car but authorities said he was not injured.
HPD arrested the suspect at about 10 a.m. that morning.
Sylve-Matautia’s bail has been set at $1 million.
